Heart & Brain's Healthy Relationship...


Did you know that during embryo development, 🤰 the heart starts forming on day 18, while the brain starts forming on day 30? 🗓 After that, the brain & heart work together for the duration of a lifetime! ❤️∞🧠⁣⁣

Eating a healthy diet 🥒 & proper exercising 🏋️‍♀️ contribute to heart health. Those health benefits are passed along to the brain too. Keeping your heart & brain in sync 🔄 comes down to managing cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure & maintaining a healthy weight. Your brain signals your heart to pump oxygenated blood to your heart. In response, the heart delivers the blood to your body. 💗

But your heart is not just a muscle pumping blood — it truly has a mind of its own! 💥 Your heart contains more than 40,000 neurons & neurotransmitters. ⚛️ It’s literally an extension of the same network inside your brain. Your heart is responsible for producing a hormone that triggers the brain to release Oxytocin — often referred to as the “#love” hormone 😍 because it triggers feelings of empathy, trust & relationship-building! 🥰⁣⁣

Love & compassion are complex emotions that require your heart & brain to work together. ❤️👫🧠

Adrenaline can be a good thing, helping you act when you might have otherwise frozen; but sometimes it causes nerves to stand on edge. At times, the brain-heart connection & nerves can get so out of whack they can cause panic attacks! One way to keep your emotions in check is to focus on your breathing. 🌬

Deep breathing is an excellent coping skill for anxiety, as trying to be mindful of your emotions & your breathing helps lower your heart rate. 🧘🏻‍♂️

Monitoring your heart rate (through an app📱) will make you more aware of your diet, exercise, sleeping & other behaviors that affect your heart & brain. Your Actions need to back up your INTENTIONS..

Are your actions in line with your intentions?
In order to be most effective in our lives we must align our actions with our vision for our future.

If we have top-notch goals & a great reason as to why we’re striving for them, but our actions on a day to day basis don’t align with those intentions — all we end up doing is passing time.⏳⁣

Just like improper alignment in your car will lead to friction & breakdown; actions that are not consistent with your goals will make you climb hills that are unnecessary in your life. 😰⁣

For example, if your goal is to lose weight while you continually eat fast food & take extra servings of dessert — it’s obvious that your actions are not in alignment with your goal! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ever thought to yourself: “How did I get here?” 🤔 Well, most people just live their life as it comes & hope that things get better. Most people have good intentions & do many things “right” — but if we don’t stop to map out a route & focus on that plan, we’re just blindly driving around, may or may not reach our destination! 🙃⁣

✅The most successful people in every field have a strong purpose, have aligned their actions with their purpose & stay focused on their vision by continually checking that they are on the right track, cheers!
